Our daily rates include professional hunter services, trackers, camp staff, meals, local drinks, and transfers from the nearest airport. Trophy fees, ammunition, and taxidermy are charged separately.

When is the best time to hunt at Rockdale?

While hunting is possible year-round in South Africa, our prime season runs from March through October, when weather is cooler and game is most active.

Do I need to bring my own rifle?

You are welcome to bring your own, but we also provide quality rifles and ammunition for hire. Please check airline requirements for transporting firearms into South Africa.

Is Rockdale malaria-free?

Yes, our ranch is located in a malaria-free region of the Eastern Cape — no special medication is required.

Can non-hunters join the safari?

Absolutely. We welcome observers and family members. Non-hunters can enjoy game drives, birding, bush walks, day trips to nearby reserves, beaches, and towns.

How do I get to Rockdale?

The closest airport is Port Elizabeth ( Gqeberha), approximately 2 hours a way by road. We provide pick-up and drop-off services as part of your safari.

Is Wi-Fi available at camp?

Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available in the lodge area for guests who want to stay connected.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept wire transfers, cash, and all leading credit cards. Please note credit card transactions carry a small surcharge due to exchange rates.

What happens if I wound an animal?

Any animal wounded and lost is considered taken, and the full trophy fee applies. Our professional hunters and trackers will do everything possible to recover game.

What should I pack for my trip?

Neutral-colored clothing, comfortable walking boots, a warm jacket for mornings/evenings, sunscreen, a hat, binoculars, and personal medication. We’ll send you a full packing checklist upon booking.
