Terms & Conditions for Hunting Safaris & Bookings

All prices are quoted in USD $ and are set per season.

Booking Procedures & Conditions

Once you have contacted us with your hunting enquiry, booking can take place via your agent or directly with us.

Deposits

PLAINS GAME:

A minimum deposit of 40% of the total daily rate is required to confirm a booking.

Trophy fees will be determined by the year in which the hunt takes place, if 100% of the day fee/s is settled in advance, we will lock trophy fees at the rates of the year in which a deposit was paid.

This policy will apply unless stated differently within your contract.

CAPE BUFFALO:

A minimum deposit of $5000 of the total package is required to confirm a booking.

Trophy fees will be determined by the year in which the hunt takes place. If 100% of the day fee/s is settled in advance, we will lovk trophy fees at the rates of the year in which a deposit was paid.

This policy will apply unless stated differently within your contract.

A hunt is CONFIRMED once a contract has been undertaken between Rockdale Game Ranches and the client, and a deposit has been paid.

Payment

  • Full payment of the balance of the total daily rate for the hunt is due upon arrival at camp.
  • Trophy fees can be settled at the end of the hunt.
  • We do accept wires, cash and all leading credit cards.
  • Please note there may be a slight difference in credit card charges from time of payment to when the transaction takes place due to exchange rate fluctuations.

Surcharges on Transactions

Credit Cards - A 3.5% surcharge will be le vied on all credit card tr ansactions.

Our Prices include the following:

  • Pick-up and drop-off at the nearest airport to the camp in the area in which you will be hunting, unless prior special arrangements have been made.
  • Hunting license fees.
  • The services of an experienced and qualified Professional Hunter with a well-equipped four-wheen-drive vehicle and a tracker.
  • Standard Safari equipment where required.
  • Complete support crew of camp staff, trackers, skinners and chefs.
  • All land transportation while on safari.
  • All meals, soft-drinks, local beer, house wine, selected spirits, wifi and laundry services.

Additional Costs that our Prices do not include:

  • International & Domestic flights.
  • Shipping & Taxidermy.
  • Day Fee/s for the day of arrival - first night in camp.
  • Trophy handling fee per hunter / per safari.
  • Provincial transfers if required, unless prior special arrangements have been made.
  • Rifle hire and ammunition per safari if required.
  • Baiting fee/s where required.
  • Local transfer trip/s IF the Professional Hunter allocated to your hunt is not utilized for this transfer.
  • A 15% Government-regulated Value-Added Tax (VAT) on all daily r ates and services.
  • This tax does not apply to game fees.
  • Gratuities for safari staff and Professional Hunters.
  • Meals and liquor outside of camps and hunting areas.
  • Telephones service/s

Wounded / Harvested Trophies

Any animal wounded/hit, and found OR lost, will be deemed as taken. The full trophy fee will apply.

Gratuities

The preferred method of tipping for trackers, camp staff, safari crews and PH’s should be done in USD $ cash.

Alternatively, feel free to add tips to the final bill of the safari which can be tallied and added at the end with your remaining hunt balance. Our office will then ensure the various team members are paid out in accordance with your personal wishes.

Check with your Professional Hunter what the norm is on tipping and at all times keep in mind a tip is a bonus greatly appreciated but not expected.

Insurance

We recommend that ALL clients obtain travel insurance prior to their safari.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of a client cancelling a safari less than 6 months prior to the commencement date of the safari, the deposit will be forfeited if the dates cannot be rescheduled to alternate date/s within the same season.

Safaris cancelled more than 6 months prior to the commencement date of the hunt will be refunded the deposit less 50%. This 50% will not be refunded but can be appied to a future safari with alternate date/s within thesame season.
